Green Fleet

Course Information:

Green Fleet 2027 consists of 9 sessions from 31st January until the end of March. 

Offering weekly training of fun, skill development, becoming independent on the water, water safety, and learning foundation race skills through enjoyment. This intake is for both Better Sailing graduates and/or Green Fleet sailors wanting to join when the weather has warmed up! 

Every session time is 9 - 11.30am.

Requirements:

• Completed Better Sailing 1 & 2
• Green Fleet activities are similar to Better Sailing but tailored to individual aspirations
• It is anticipated that you have your own boat

To take part you will need to be a member of the club and preferably have your own boat. All classes are welcome, however the preferred classes are:

• Optimist: Getting Started - Australian International Optimist Dinghy Association
• Open BIC: Open Bic/Skiff Facebook Buy and Sell Group 
• Minnow: Minnow Association website
• Mirror: Mirror Sailing | International Mirror Class Association

Green Fleet sessions are held on Sunday mornings, participants are encouraged to compete in club racing in the afternoon.

** Greenfleet participants are required to use their own boat for the course. MMYC has a number of vessel available for hire, please contact the training team to make arrangements.
